INTRODUCTION OF FREIDA PEMBERTON, EDD, PHD, RN, BC-INFORMATICS As a well known scholar and leader in the field of nursing and informatics for more than 38 years, Dr. Pemberton has engaged in nursing curricula development, clinical practice, administration, higher education program development, distance education, telecommunications, research, multimedia development, critical thinking enhancement, public speaking, global health initiatives, and the promotion of holistic patient care (addressing the physical, mental, educational, environmental, social, nutritional and spiritual needs) both nationally and internationally. As a team builder with strong leadership/management expertise, she incorporates innovative problem-solving strategies to affect positive learning outcomes and progressive professional development.

Dr. Pemberton continues dedicating her life to assisting others in the achievement of their goals through the many programs developed and services offered. She is a true believer that one's path is directed by God to whom she gives all the praise for her many accomplishments in spite of the obstacles met along the journey. Her accomplishments are endless and recognitions are numerous. In addition, she believes everyone can achieve their goals in life with true commitment and be a Blessing to others. As an informatician, she is committed to advancing the transformation of the healthcare delivery system through the incorporation of informatics technology in all healthcare environments. Informatics technology has the potential to alleviate the healthcare crisis both nationally and internationally.

Mission of the World Wide Holistic Health Outreach, Inc.:
The World Wide Holistic Health Outreach was founded by Dr. Freida Pemberton, RN, BC January 1, 2010. This public charity organization serves a humanitarian cause. The organization brings much needed healthcare services to societies without access and an average life-span of age 50 or less. As background this mission began August 2001 with Dr. Pemberton, RN, BC and a team of student nurses who were mostly registered nurses pursuing a BS Degree. The program grew continually in the subsequent years, 2003 and 2005. In 2003 and 2005 the volunteer representation extended across disciplines inclusive of nursing, education, social work, respiratory therapy, and dietary. In 2010, holistic care addressing the physical, mental, educational, environmental, social, nutritional and spiritual needs were provided for the population residing at the SE Village where 25,000-30,000 people reside and at the Christian Sister’s Home, an orphanage for approximately 50 young ladies.
As a Professor of nursing and missionary, Dr. Pemberton believes it is important for healthcare providers and society to become active participants in assisting communities to receive quality health care that will minimize the severity of chronic health problems both nationally and internationally. As healthcare providers who are spiritually guided, one must advance healthcare for indigenous communities in a proactive manner. Access to health promotion and disease prevention programs can significantly decrease the high death rates that currently exist in West Africa and other global and local communities. Therefore, the World Wide Holistic Health Outreach Organization is destined to cause a positive change in the lives of thousands living in West Africa and local communities, deprived of health care services.

As the Theoretician of the Global
Learning for the Nurse outreach program in Benin, Ghana and Togo, West
Africa, she developed health promotion programs to serve communities
with no access to holistic healthcare, providing health assessments,
treatments and referrals in collaboration with the medical team. Dr.
Pemberton returned with a dedicated team to Benin West Africa July
2010 and conducted the Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Program at
the SE village and orphanage.
